Hazy Lazy Summer Days
Oh those hazy lazy days of summer when the bees are busy and the field is at its most glorious with vivid purple flower heads swaying in the breeze. This is the time when the lavender is ripe for harvesting. A keen eye on the weather forecast is essential to harvest the lavender, as a fine dry day.
The harvesters shear the bushes by hand and some of the precious stems and buds are distilled for oil and some are dried for culinary lavender and pot pourri, bridal bouquets and confetti. All Lavender & Co products are hand made from field to jar.
