Exclusive Single-Estate Axbridge Lavender on the southern slopes of the Mendip Hills in Somerset.
The oil from our lavender plants is just divine. Like a single estate wine, we have a limited supply of fresh lavender and oil from our harvest each season. Lavender & Co harvest during the summer months to supply their customers, visitors, shop and stockists.
The lavender field is open on selected dates to visitors during the year. And we are also able to offer opportunities for photo shoots and filming on request.
This exquisite idea and products were the brainchild of Carole Hamblin and son John Hamblin, a plants man of some note, and together with Barry Hamblin planted a quarter of their two acre field with 9 different types of Lavandula Angustifolia (English Lavender), which has a sweeter, softer fragrance to that of French Lavender.
A happy band of friends help us plant and harvest this wonderful herb and it is all done by hand. We employ local people during the harvest which takes place from the end of June, weather permitting. The oil is then used for our exclusive Lavender & Co products.
